Originally bought this through Sam's Club (they don't carry it anymore). I've used to refill both Lexmark and Canon inkjets with no problems (these cartridges tend to have foam/sponge inserts). I bought a new black cartridge for the Lexmark in June 05, and I've refilled it w/o a problem in Sep, Nov, and now Feb 06, no problems. Usually get 3 or more refills on the blacks before the cartridge itself fails mechanically. Same experience with the color. A little more difficult to fill the color - on the Lexmark, you have to break the top off to access the three color fill holes. On the black, you just drill into the top. Never had a leaker through about 3 new black cartridges and several color. I'm just now running out of black ink after 5 refills across 2 cartridges (hence my net search). May be cartridge dependent (again, excellent experience with Lexmark and Canon, horrible with HP a long time ago). Just one refill alone is better than the $30-40 new cartridge price, and I'm getting 2-3 black refills plus a whole bunch of color before I have to buy a new cartridge. I prefer to buy new and then refill multiple, rather than buy reman cartridges and hope they work for a refill. Stratitec provides highly compatible ink. Great choice, great value!
