You can improve the life of the cartidge by taking it out every now and then and making sure the toner is well-distributed by slowly shaking it. I printed 2 boxes (20 reams) with one of these cartridges, set on Light (which looks fine). ... This toner is great. I have had the printer for 5 years and this is the first time I've had to replace the toner...and I don't scrimp on printing. I print checks, graphics, letters, reports, etc. I am very pleased with the quality and quantity. Well the most important thing about buying ink and toner for your printer is price, and Amazon.com has beaten every on-line price I have seen. As for the toner itself, Hewlett Packard toner is top. I buy this product for two reasons, 1. It's what fits in my printer, and 2. I know when I buy the C3906A, I am getting what I payed for, a quality cartrige that lasts. One last note, twords the end of the cartrige life, a small line appears in the content of my page letting me know its allmost time for a new one. simply shake the cartrige, reorder, and by the time the new one arrives, the old one is finished. | | |
