I bought my HP 5P October 1995 and have only changed the cartridge once. The print test page shows 7,000 pages. Can't beat the price per page -- so far 2 cents per page.

I suggest using economode to extend the life -- exspecially graphics intense prints which are just used for archiving.

I've owned my HP 5MP for about 5 years. I never thought I would use the infrared port until my Honey bought a laptop with one. I've had no problems with the toner cartridge.
